Medicaid Spend-DownMedicaid Spend-Down helps those who would otherwise qualify for MO HealthNet (Medicaid), but earn too much to meet the income requirements. This process allows someone to “spend down” or subtract medical expenses (like the cost of prescription drugs) from their income in order to become Medicaid-eligible. For example, if you made $100 more than the monthly limit on Medicare, but spent $101 on prescription drugs, you could be eligible.
